EZWatch Pro Monitoring Module
The EZWatch Pro monitoring module is specifically designed for monitoring the status of EZWatch Pro surveillance systems. In addition to the standard SmartWatch features, the module adds the ability to automatically monitor EZWatch Pro’s software operations, automatically alerting you if any critical process, such as automatic recordings, stop or fail even if the PC is operating normally.
Why this service is so important
Most video surveillance recorders do not have any supervision capability whatsoever. Often surveillance recorders are not used on a daily basis and are only checked or used when an incident has already occurred. This is the absolutely wrong time to find out the system has been off line for days…for whatever reason. The EZWatch software module eliminates this possibility by continually monitoring the systems performance and alerting you to any problems.
How it alerts you
Alerts are generated automatically and can be transmitted to you using a pop up display on your PC, a text message or an email. The service also alerts you when the problem is resolved and the system is functioning again. Alerts are easily set up and completely customized to your preferences.
Remote Viewing
With the SmartWatch service there is no need to buy static IP addresses. All video surveillance systems require a static IP address assigned to the DVR for monitoring or viewing cameras through the internet. A static IP provides a permanent non-changing address so remote computers can find your DVR through the internet. Static IP addresses are provided by your internet provider, the problem is they usually charge $20-$60 a month for a static address and some larger providers such as Comcast do not offer them at all.
The SmartWatch service eliminates the need for a static IP address and lets you conveniently connect to your remote DVR. It should be your first step to setting up your remote viewing system. It’s easy, low cost and reliable.
How it works
SmartWatch continually monitors the “temporary/changing” address the internet assigns the DVR and updates its address or “internet location”. This allows you to seamlessly connect to your remote computer using the SmartWatch service. The need for an expensive static IP address is completely eliminated.
